There
are several areas of worship at the Tuality Community of
Christ. These include youth and adult Sunday school classes, Family of
God time, the regular Sunday worship service, and various retreats and
reunions.
Sunday school classes provide children and youth of all ages an opportunity to learn about God and Jesus through the study of scripture and supportive materials.
The adult classes cover a wide variety of topics from scripture study and church history, to modern topics such as science and religion. The classes meet in an informal manner, offering an opportunity for the facilitator and participants to engage in worthwhile discussion of the weekly lesson or presentation. Materials include books, study guides, and videos.
The Family of God time occurs just prior to the regular worship service. This is a time for sharing good news, prayer requests, and singing praise music. Various families and individuals volunteer to lead this worship.
Corporate worship services usually will parallel the themes set forth by world church. Each week a different person will preside over the service and will select individuals to participate in the service. This is one of the strengths of the Tuality Community of Christ, as the congregation is able to receive ministry and perspectives from a wide variety of people.
Junior Church is offered periodically so that children will be given an opportunity to worship and learn of God in an environment suited for their age. This will occur during the corporate worship service.
Each day the Community of Christ World Church lifts up a country for prayer in the temple in Independence, Missouri. The Tuality Community of Christ also has a Prayer for Peace each Sunday. The schedule of countries follows the World Church schedule.
The church believes that God continues to guide its people through revelation and counsel. Here is the latest document presented at World Conference 2006. Section 163 of the Doctrine and Covenants
